Is it possible

Ok, here’s my story…..We are beginning to try for number 2 and I am excited yet anxious.  I have really had a hard time about deciding to get pregnant again.  Not b/c I don’t want another baby, but b/c I don’t want to go through another c-section recovery.  I had a lot of metal blocks with it and really felt like I missed out.  I had pretty bad post partum and I think it had a lot to do with it.  So much so I really thought I would rather adopt than have another one of my own.

My doctor sent me to the hospital for observation after my blood pressure was high.  After 3 days bed rest it wasn’t coming down.  So, we scheduled a c-section at 37 weeks b/c he was transverse.  I went for a sono a day before and she thought he had dropped so my doctor changed it and said we could have a vaginal birth.  All systems were go, but when I finally asked for an epi my nurse checked my progress and he had turned back, so we have an emergency c-section.  Which turned out for the best b/c the cord was around his neck twice.  But in all these goings on he was so high that the internal incision they made was vertical and partially horizontal at the bottom.  I also have a pelvic kidney, meaning it’s in the front.

I really feel robbed of the birthing process and would love nothing more than to have a VBAC, but my doctor has said no, that another c-section would be safer because of rupture.  Has anyone out there had a VBAC after a c-section like this??  Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
