I am currently trying to plan a VBAC in a hospital setting and will attempt labor without interventions & epidural. I hope to higher a doula or midwife who’s is supportive along with an OB/GYN. Does anyone have any recommendation for OB/GYN and a Hospital? I live in Puyallup, WA, but will commute to a hospital.

VBAC in Washington
I know St. Joseph’s in Tacoma bans VBAC…Group Health facilities have the highest success rate in the Puget Sound area ( about 80%). Pair that with a midwife and /or doula and the rates go up. Check out this website for 2005 stats. Good Luck !

re: provider in WA
Have you checked to see if there is an ICAN chapter near you or at least in your state? They should be able to connect you with area moms who can provide input on your local options.
If not, Google DONA (doulas of north america) and Bradley Childbirth Method as well as ALACE (assoc. of labor assistants and childbirth educators) to find local birth people who will probably be able to give you recommendations.
