Fundraising Coordinator

Purpose: 

To raise funds for ICAN International to carry out special projects or to support general funding of ICAN activities.

Key Responsibilities: 

Duties:
- Develop and present fundraising ideas to ICAN’s Board of Directors.
- Handle logistics for ICAN fundraising events.
- Assist in development and marketing and promotional materials for partner and sponsor recruitment for ICAN initiatives.
- Handle logistics for annual and seasonal appeals.
- Participate on Development Committee.

Supervision: 
Development Director
Length of Appointment: 
1 year or longer, as discussed on case by case basis
Time Commitment: 
Idea development: approx. 2-5hrs/week -- may need more time as fundraising project date nears
Qualifications: 

Qualifications:
- Must maintain ICAN membership.
- Self-starter with good self-discipline and work habits, able to track and shift easily between multiple projects.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Development Director and others on Development Committee. Accepts and gives suggestions with grace and compassion.
- Previous development, management and/or communications work preferred, but not required.

Support Provided: 

- Ideas for fundraising activities will be given.
- Once fundraising idea is selected, fundraising plan will be carefully reviewed and approved by ICAN’s Board.
