Melinda Kane founded\u00a0ICAN of the Capital District in 2008 after receiving immeasurable\u00a0online support from\u00a0ICAN’s email lists while planning a VBAC. \u00a0She has served as leader and co-leader since that time. \u00a0She has a son born by cesarean section and a daughter born at home. \u00a0In addition to facilitating ICAN’s activities, she is a birth doula and nursing student.<\/p>\n
Amanda Mody joined ICAN of the Capital District’s leadership in 2012. \u00a0She is the mother of three boys, two born by cesarean section and one born vaginally in a VBA2C. \u00a0In addition to her work with ICAN, Amanda is a birth doula and Reiki practitioner.<\/p>\n
Bronwyn Fackrell became a co-leader in 2017. She has five children, the third of which was born by classical c-section. The other four were born vaginally, one at home.
