June – How to Support a CBAC
Topic: In the birth climate today, laboring after a cesarean is no guarantee of a vaginal birth and women who have another cesarean are often bereft of resources. This month we’ll discuss the unique experience that is a CBAC (as distinct from a primary cesarean or an elective repeat cesarean) and concrete ways to support CBAC mothers, based on their own suggestions.
What to Bring: As always, ICANoN’s monthly meetings are FREE, but please bring either a box of tissues, toilet paper, or paper towels (to donate to Blooma Nashville Yoga for letting us use their beautiful space) or a gently used pregnancy-related book (to benefit our chapter’s lending library)!
Who Should Come: Anyone interested in healthy pregnancy, birth, and recovery is welcome to attend, including doulas and other birth professionals. Do you want to be prepared for the possibility of a CBAC? Did you have a CBAC and want others to benefit from your experience? Please come to this meeting! **While childcare is not provided, children with quiet toys and babes-in-arms are welcome.**
