June – Care Provider Red Flags

Topic: Finding a provider who’ll give you an honest attempt at a normal birth is a large part of avoiding preventable cesareans. Certain key phrases, actions, and practice policies can tip you off that your doctor or midwife may be less than supportive of physiological birth. Being alert to these “red flags” in the course of your prenatal care can give you the time you need to find a new provider!

What to Bring: As always, ICANoN’s monthly meetings are FREE, but please bring either a box of tissues, toilet paper, or paper towels (to donate to Blooma Nashville Yoga for letting us use their beautiful space) or a gently used pregnancy-related book (to benefit our chapter’s lending library)!

Who Should Come: Not just for prior cesarean moms, any pregnant woman (or will-be-pregnant-someday woman) is welcome to this meeting! **While childcare is not provided, children with quiet toys and babes-in-arms are welcome.**
