October – Vicarious Birth Trauma: When Your Friends are Pregnant

Topic: Birth trauma changes your personal landscape towards pregnancy and birth announcements forever. Never again will your friends be able to tell you that they are pregnant or being induced or scheduling a cesarean without you feeling the urge to save them. This month we’ll have a conversation about why we feel this way and healthy ways to cope and be a good friend (even when it hurts).

What to Bring: As always, ICANoN’s monthly meetings are FREE, but please bring either a box of tissues, toilet paper, or paper towels (to donate to Blooma Nashville Yoga for letting us use their beautiful space) or a gently used pregnancy-related book (to benefit our chapter’s lending library)!

Who Should Come: Anyone interested in healthy pregnancy, birth, and recovery is welcome to attend, including doulas and other birth professionals. **While childcare is not provided, children with quiet toys and babes-in-arms are welcome.**

When & Where:
Monday, October 16th, 7:30 – 9 pm
4107 Charlotte Avenue
Nashville, TN 37209
