Leadership

Chapter Leader: Elizabeth Bowes

Through my birth work as a childbirth educator, doula, and lactation counselor in four different communities over the past fifteen years I recognize the global need for education to help prevent unnecessary cesareans, support for cesarean recovery as well as promoting vaginal birth after cesarean.  I am committed to the community of Hampton Roads as we work together to improve maternal/child health.   Please contact us via email, Facebook, phone or come out to a chapter meeting!

Chapter Co-Leader: Rachel Doskey
Rachel is a mom of 2 (soon to be 3!) and has been passionate about the mission of ICAN since she attended her first support group meeting in 2018. A two-time cesarean mom, she is excited to be part of the leadership of the Hampton Roads chapter and helping empower women with the education and support to seek their best birth story.
