I am a full-spectrum doula of color. My services include, belly binding, lactation support, VBAC support, birth plan assistance and virtual doula support. I support Washington DC and the following Maryland Counties: Prince George’s, Charles, Anne Arundel and Montgomery. In Northern Virginia the cities of Alexandria, Arlington and Fairfax.

Virginia has been offering compassionate, creative, trauma-informed care, support, and education to families and perinatal professionals for over 20 years. She is a Certified Birthing From Within (BFW) Childbirth Educator and Doula, and, for more than 10 years, facilitated BFW trainings and programs for doulas, midwives, educators, and other birth workers. Whether giving a keynote address to hundreds of midwives, facilitating online courses, or guiding a healing session to a mother recovering from a difficult birth, Virginia's experience, warmth, authenticity, and wisdom shine through. She specializes in powerful approaches to childbirth preparation and post-traumatic growth and healing.

Virginia currently lives, works, and creates at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, supporting families and perinatal professionals throughout Nevada and California, as well as globally. She is available (in-person and online) as an event speaker, a consultant to birth professionals who want to process births they have witnessed, and to parents who experience difficult births and are looking for healing and growth.

I'm Lia (she/her), a certified doula and childbirth educator working in Southern California since 2011. My first baby was born in 1998 and ever since, birth has been my passion: guiding, coaching, supporting, championing folks through pregnancy and labor. Both of my babies were born vaginally, unmedicated, but I'm a c-section baby (whose mother went on to have 2 HBACs) and VBAC is my specialty. I know first hand the impact of an unnecessary c-section and how familial attitudes toward birth can change the world. Let's do this.
