Pineapple Babies Birth Services has committed to offering out of hospital birth to all low-risk women who desire it. Home birth is an increasingly popular consideration for families who are low risk and believe pregnancy and birth to be a normal, natural time in life. Currently, the decision to birth at home is out of reach for many families because most insurance companies will not cover homebirth midwifery care. We are striving to facilitate a shift in our area, to make home birth an attainable option for families, by accepting Medicaid as well as offering significant discounts to military families and those who qualify for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Choices shouldn’t only be available to upper middle-class families; they should be available to all families. We offer water birth, VBAC, and out of hospital birth choices to Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads area!
